1. Introduction
Mentor to Marry is a global interdenominational Christian relationship, dating and marriage platform operated by Love, Dating and Marriage Ministries, a non-profit organisation registered in Nigeria.
Mentor to Marry exists to equip Christians for healthy relationships, wise courtship and Christ-centred marriages through biblical teaching, mentoring, community, accountability and meaningful connection.
This Statement of Faith establishes the biblical beliefs, values and principles that underpin the platform, its services, community standards, educational content, mentoring programmes and matching services.
By joining the platform, members acknowledge and agree to respect and abide by this Statement of Faith.
2. The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative and trustworthy Word of God.
We believe that Scripture is the final authority for Christian faith, conduct, relationships, marriage and discipleship.
We seek to apply biblical principles faithfully and responsibly throughout Mentor to Marry's teachings, services and community life.
3. God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons:
God the Father;
God the Son; and
God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that these three Persons are equal in power, glory and authority and together constitute the one true God.
4. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man.
We believe that:
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
He was born of the Virgin Mary;
He lived a sinless life;
He died for the sins of humanity;
He rose bodily from the dead;
He ascended into heaven; and
He will return again in glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour and the only mediator between God and humanity.
5. Salvation
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, available through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that every person stands in need of God's grace and forgiveness.
We believe that salvation is received through repentance and faith and not through human effort, merit or works.
We believe that all believers are called to continual spiritual growth and Christ-like living.
6. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells, guides, teaches, equips and empowers believers.
We believe that the Holy Spirit enables Christians to develop spiritual maturity, wisdom, self-control and Christ-like character.
7. Human Dignity
We believe that every human being is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, worth and value.
We are committed to treating all people with kindness, respect, compassion and honour.
Harassment, bullying, intimidation, abuse and degrading treatment of others are inconsistent with Christian teaching and are not permitted within the Mentor to Marry community.
8. God's Design for Humanity
We believe that God created humanity as male and female.
We believe that biological sex forms part of God's created design.
We believe that men and women possess equal dignity, equal value and equal worth before God.
Mentor to Marry's educational content, matching framework, community standards and relationship guidance are founded upon this biblical understanding of humanity.
9. The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ consisting of all believers.
We encourage members to be actively involved in a Bible-believing local church where they can worship, serve, receive discipleship and be accountable to other Christians.
As an interdenominational platform, Mentor to Marry welcomes Christians from different church traditions who affirm the essential truths of the Christian faith and engage respectfully with other believers.
10. Christian Unity
Mentor to Marry is an interdenominational Christian platform that welcomes believers from different church traditions and backgrounds.
We recognise that faithful Christians may hold differing views on certain secondary theological matters, including church governance, baptism, spiritual gifts, communion and other non-essential doctrines.
While members may differ on such issues, all members are expected to engage with one another in a spirit of Christian love, humility, grace and mutual respect.
Mentor to Marry is not intended to serve as a forum for theological division or denominational disputes but as a community united around the essential truths of the Christian faith and a shared desire to honour God in relationships and marriage.

Mentor to Marry exists to support Christians in developing healthy Christ-centred relationships that may lead to marriage.
12. Christian Accountability
We believe that healthy Christian relationships flourish within a framework of discipleship, accountability and local church community.
We encourage members to seek wisdom, prayer, pastoral support and godly counsel throughout the course of their relationships and decision-making.
While Mentor to Marry provides teaching, mentoring, community and opportunities for connection, members remain responsible for their own decisions and are encouraged to involve trusted spiritual mentors, church leaders and accountability partners where appropriate.
